I am sad to report the passing of Sheldon “Shelly” Moldoff. Moldoff was an artist who worked for a wide range of publishers, but is best known for his work with DC Comics. He drew for some of the first issues Golden Age issues of Hawkman and Green Lantern. He became the main ghost artist for Bob Kane on Batman. Moldoff was also an animator and writer. His Batman art was long uncredited until editor Julius Schwartz publicly acknowledged his work in 1991.
