I recently discovered some work by comic book artist Rudy Palais in a 1950s science fiction pulp digest. Palais has two illustrations in the June 1954 issue of If - Worlds of Science Fiction. You can click either image below for a larger view. The artwork is interesting as it does not look like Palais’ usual comic book style. In fact, it kind of reminds me of the art of Palais’ Harvey co-worker Howard Nostrand.
