Welcome to my gallery of classic comic covers. I've been collecting comic books for over 25 years and made this web site to share some of my favorite covers. All of the covers, with a very few exceptions, are (or were) from my personal collection. Have a question or a comment? E-mail me, my name's Ben.

Joe Kubert R.I.P.

I am sad to report that Golden Age comic book artist Joe Kubert has passed away. He was 85 years old.

Shelly Moldoff R.I.P.

I am sad to report the passing of Sheldon “Shelly” Moldoff. Moldoff was an artist who worked for a wide range of publishers, but is best known for his work with DC Comics. He drew for some of the first issues Golden Age issues of Hawkman and Green Lantern. He became the main ghost artist for Bob Kane on Batman. Moldoff was also an animator and writer. His Batman art was long uncredited until editor Julius Schwartz publicly acknowledged his work in 1991.

John Severin R.I.P.

A great comic book artist has passed away. John Severin, the elder brother of Marie Severin is gone. John is well-loved for his artwork on EC Comics’s war and adventure titles. He also worked for Marvel, and was the soul of Cracked magazine. His sometimes satirical, often realistic, style was greatly appreciated by myself and many other fans, including my friend Don Mangus. He will be missed.

Strange Love

One of my romance comics was posted on the “social media” image site tumber. I figure that is worth a blog update!

Dark Mysteries #20 & Terrifying Tales #11 for Sale on eBay

I still have bills to pay, so the auctions continue. Here are two affordable Golden Age horror comics. They are not featured on this web site, but have pretty cool cover art nonetheless. Please help me out by bidding early and often. Ha ha. Here are the auction links:

Dark Mysteries #20

Terrifying Tales #11

These have been sold. I think they went cheap. I lost money on both of them. D’oh!
