Welcome to my gallery of classic comic covers. I've been collecting comic books for over 25 years and made this web site to share some of my favorite covers. All of the covers, with a very few exceptions, are (or were) from my personal collection. Have a question or a comment? E-mail me, my name's Ben.

Blue Bolt #111 for Sale on eBay

Cool wolfman cover drawn by L.B. Cole — I have bills to pay, so another one of my favorite horror comics is on the auction block! Please help me out by bidding early and often. Not just the cover is by L.B. Cole, there is interior art by Cole too. Here it is, click the thumbnail below to see the auction:

Astonishing #30 for Sale on eBay

Alert for fans of giant alien eyeballs with flesh-melting death rays — I have bills to pay, so one of my favorite horror comics is on the auction block! I paid way too much for this comic, so I’m sure to take a loss on it… please help me out by bidding early and often. It not only has a great cover but the interior stories are pretty good too. Here it is, click the thumbnail below to see the auction:

Sold, I think it went cheap. I lost money on the sale. D’oh!

Joe Simon R.I.P.

Sadly we have lost another great Golden Age comic artist. This time it is the co-creator of Captain America, Joe Simon. Joe was a partner of the late, great, Jack Kirby and helped pioneer several popular superhero characters as well as entire comic genres such as romance (Young Romance) and horror (Black Magic). He also created and edited Sick Magazine. I never got to meet him but I do own a Captain America comic that he signed.

Jerry Robinson R.I.P.

Golden Age Batman artist Jerry Robinson passed away recently. In addition to being one of the first Batman artists, he is well-remembered for creating Batman’s arch-villain The Joker. I had the pleasure of meeting Jerry a couple times at comic book conventions, he will be missed.

Stewart Silver R.I.P.

This is a difficult post to write, I have been procrastinating for some time now. Stew Silver passed away recently. He was an accomplished and knowledgeable comic book collector, a hilarious stand-up comic, a great friend, and a loving husband. He will be missed.
