Mystery Tales 9, 1953

That gal on the cover is so frightened her breasts are doing strange things! A really horrible and spooky cover, this is the kind of scene that really makes you want to read the story it illustrates. Unfortunately, even though there is a story titled "The Man in the Morgue!", it doesn't have a scene like the cover tableaux. The cover art may be by either Russ Heath or Bill Everett but I'm just guessing.

The first story, "The Specimen!" has art by Joe Maneely, an artist who was immensely talented but tragically died very young. Other stories in this issue: "Hunger" by Brown and Gantz, "Ashes to Ashes", "The Man in the Morgue", and "Lost".
