Love Scandals 5, 1950

Love the cover blurb - "I Hated Being a Woman". Where I come from if you hate being a woman then (to paraphrase Jeff Foxworthy) you might be a....LESBIAN!!! Actually the feature story doesn't quite go that far, and in the end she does end up settling down with a nice guy. But the story does really stress the "butch" angle - she spends most of the story running around declaring how much she hates men and trying to prove to anyone who's interested just how macho she is!!!

Ah well, all a confused gal like that needs is a good kissing from a real man to turn her around, or at the very least she could use a good spanking! (Settle down Ms. Feminist - that's just a joke!)

I had no idea, but Golden Age comic and B-Movie fan Bill Coleman graciously informed me that the cover model for this comic is none other than the late, beautiful actress, Janis Carter who appeared in many B-movies for Columbia Studios such as: Boston Blackie, The Whistler, The Lone Wolf, and more!
