Tender Romance 1, 1953
This series only kept it's original title for two issues before changing to "Ideal Romance". (The entire series only lasted for 8 issues, total.) It was published by Key who were more notorious for their gory precode horror comics like Weird Chills. It's got a great cover by Bernard Bailey who is most well known for drawing the Spectre and other super-heroes for DC in the 40s. Inside, the contents are interesting too - lots of lingerie and "headlight" panels. I'd like to know what the editors were thinking - who was the intended audience for this material? Of course just going from the grammar and punctuation in speech balloon on the cover, maybe there were no editors!!!
