American Air Forces 2, 1944

Published by Wm. H. Wise & Company, this is an odd one - part comic book, part magazine! It has a core of cool wartime comic book stories wrapped with photo essays about how we won the war (they must be referring only to the European theatre, given that the comic was published in 1944). Included is "For Vengeance," about the German rocket bomb. ("It came too late to save Adolf Hitler's lost cause ... it may win the next war!") If you're an aviation buff, you'll die for the spreads on the Thunderbus B-25 Mitchell, the Boeing B-17 Bob-Tail, and the cockpit shots of the B-24 Liberator.

Of course I have to comment on the cover art - outrageous! Racist! It definitely "wouldn't fly" (pun intended) today!
