Exciting Comics 35, 1944
Published by Better Publications, with cover artwork by Alex Schomburg. The Black Terror isn't content to just machine-gun our Japanese enemies, he and his sidekick Timmy are literally crushing them under a streamroller! Shocking violence, but with a bit of an almost "Three Stooge"-ish comedy flavor.
Most of the Golden Age comics published by Nedor/Better/Standard had fantastic cover art by Alex Schomburg, and
equally forgettable interior work. Stories and art were generally second-rate, at best - and this issue is no exception. The main super-hero features are an 11 page Black Terror story, and a 7 page story starring the American Eagle and his sidekick (I am not making this up!) the Eaglet.
