Dan Adkins passed away a little more than two weeks ago. Dan was a top-notch inker and a talented penciler. He worked for Marvel, DC, and many other comic book publishers over the course of his career. Dan collaborated with Wally Wood and also produced illustrations for pulp magazines. We lost another Golden Age artist. Christine Elizabeth Lyttle passed away on March 27, 2013.
Christine Lyttle, using her married name Christine Smith, first worked for Western Printing and Lithography, the company that produced comics for both Dell and Whitman publishing companies. At Western, Lyttle wrote and drew for titles such as Little Lulu, Roy Rogers, Tarzan, and Walt Disney’s Mickey Mouse Almanac, Silly Symphonies and Sleeping Beauty.

Sad news. We have lost another Golden Age comic book artist. Dorothy Hunter was a member of Bob Woggon’s studio, working on Katy Keene and other “Archie”-related material. Records indicate that she was born in 1916, and passed away at the age of 96 on March 7th, 2013.
