It’s our pleasure to be able to finally introduce ourselves to you, dear readers. We have been dying to tell you the backstory of this blog dedicated to everything related to our favorite medium of comics.
First, let us again for supporting our newest venture by visiting this blog and reading our carefully curated articles. It means a lot to us that you chose us over other comics blogs and magazines. We hope we would be able to gain your trust and to become your favorite comics outlet out there!
Who Are We
To answer this question truthfully, yes, we are comics nerds. No, we are not in the comics business and we doubt we will ever be, but we have the passion for the medium, which is more than enough to create an okay blog, in our humble opinion.
We are a group of friends and we have been together since elementary school, so we believe we have proven to ourselves over the years that we are a good team. After all, you have to find the right set of nerds if you want to make a big project work. At least we hope that this blog can eventually turn into a bigger project.
Now a little bit more about our personal interests. Obviously, comics and films based on comics. We don’t always agree on everything such, especially when it comes down to film adaptations, but we celebrate our differences and we believe this blog could show everyone that their opinion on comics, no matter how bizarre or unpopular, is probably already shared by someone else.
Why We Made This Comics Blog
The obvious reason why we made this blog is that we simply love comics. We grew up reading and discussing them, so we wanted to share our passion online. We also miss the old-fashioned art of blogging and we wanted to try it for ourselves for the first time. You have the freedom to include whatever you want, whenever you want it in a blog, and of course, you can personalize it to reflect your own point-of-view and even your own aesthetic influences. If you have an idea you want to explore in-depth, we suggest you try it for yourself!
Apart from our love for comics and our desire to have a mutual project, we also wanted to bring the readers off-grid sources for everything relating to comics. Nowadays, you can find a lot of online magazines dedicated to comics, but they are mostly concerned with news.
We miss the magazines of our childhood that used to offer detailed analyses of our favorite comics. Still, we didn’t want to limit ourselves to art and literary analyses, which is why we decided to make an all-encompassing blog to include every sort of article we deem interesting.
