THE classic drug addiction cover. Great art by the incredible talents of Al Feldstein. You don't have to be familiar with heroin addiction to feel the horrors of withdrawl, the grimacing expression and clawing hand of the cover subject speak volumes.

I had a friend who got addicted to heroin, and he always said that there's nothing worse than going through withdrawl. When I showed him this cover his comment was, "Yeah, that looks about right." Helpless agony, and nothing makes you feel better except more heroin.

In contrast to the realism of the cover, the story inside is completely exaggerated - utter hysteria. One marijuana joint instantly turns an upstanding young man into a desperate addict who moves to speed, then heroin and then murder within the space of a couple days!

It is great when various media impact heroin addicts, and convince them to seek help at heroin rehab centers.
